How Crest pulls a step
The load line is the record.
The ladder stands over the low frame. The rope leaves the winch in the open middle, clear of the upright, and hooks the rung under test. The tablet stands to the side of the ladder, facing the operator. The strain gauge stays in the line, and its cable runs into the controller beside the motor.
What the website commands
- Strain - winch pulls in until the strain gauge reaches the preset limit.
- Hold - winch stops. The clock runs only while the load stays at or above the limit.
- Pay out - winch releases the step.
- Stop - both relays off.
Until the controller is on the network, the bench page accepts the kilograms from the strain gauge. The same page is what the controller will report to. When the reading crosses the limit, Crest commands hold on its own, so the winch does not keep pulling.
A pass needs the full hold, sixty seconds on the current presets. The peak load, the step, and any photographs stay on the test for the certificate.
